About Us

CHOICE is a non-profit that formed in 1995 to help hospitals and patients in our community have a voice in discussions around improving the local health care delivery system. Our region consists of Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties, which contain some of the sickest and poorest individuals in the state of Washington. As the health discussions have ebbed and surged through the years, CHOICE has continued to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our members and the people who live in the region.

Today, CHOICE provides direct services to patients and at the same time, we continue to drive regional health system improvements. The hospitals in our area have maintained their strong commitment to our activities, and joining them at the table are a wide range of organizations that intersect with our most vulnerable populations - public health, religious groups, schools, food banks, and others. Relationships are a key ingredient in our secret sauce. At CHOICE, we are committed to collaboration in the belief that the capacity, effectiveness, and efficiency of any individual or single organization are greatly increased by providing an opportunity for mutual education, sharing of expertise, and collective action.
